Nutrition

I’m always hungry now… and thirsty;  I accredit this to my newly efficient body.  Exercise and certain foods have boosted my metabolism and it feels great!  I adore learning about nutrition; food is fuel!

BUT every now and then I crave pizza and chocolate.  And I had a beer the other night (Huh! SCANDALOUS!)  But I’ve found ways around it, such as homemade pizza on tortillas or pita bread and the antioxidant-filled dark chocolate.  If that doesn’t satisfy, I allow myself to eat something unhealthy.  Though it is a rare occasion.

I want to share healthy tidbits and secrets on here.  First secret?? STEEL-CUT OATS and FLAXSEED for breakfast. It’s packed with whole grains (like 40 grams) and the flaxseed is packed with Omega-3 fat, which is wonderful for getting rid of bad fat and cholesterol!  I add a lot of cinnamon, a touch of cloves and a touch of nutmeg. (And a little brown sugar to add some sweet).
